Lilith's Brood: The Xenogenesis Trilogy by Octavia E. Butler
Butler’s wildly imaginative saga of human survival and transformation. Conceived against the backdrop of 1980s Cold War brinksmanship, these classics of Afrofuturist speculative fiction ask prophetic questions about genetics and hybridity, colonization and consent, gender and sexuality, family and community, technology and the future of humankind. The series goes by two names: Lilith's Brood or Xenogenesis. The names are interchangeable, both referring to the same three novels. The novels in order are Dawn, Adulthood Rites, and Imago, also available in the omnibus edition Lilith's Brood.
