I thought the acting in the movie by the two stars, Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie was superb!! Ms. Ronan is Irish, so I sometimes thought her Scots accent was a little strange. Historically, since she was raised in France from age 5 to age 18, her accent should have been French.... The strength in her countenance and actions were great. Margot Robbie did such a good job of becoming Elizabeth I that I did not recognize her - now that is truly becoming a character. Although the movie follows the basic story arc, it plays fast and loose with some of the history, especially concerning the second and third husbands and the "meeting". I will never understand why Hollywood has to put extra sex, violence, and creative history into a film. It always seems to be an insult to me - I could not possibly love a film with "just the facts". It is one of the reason that I often prefer documentaries and foreign films to our own dramas. Still recommend the film, but remember this is not documentary history.. Kristi & Abby Tabby
