The conclusion to the Harry Turtledove's trilogy of a third world war between nuclear powers isn't as climatic as I had hoped. While the conclusion is satisfying and the fates of most of the characters are provided, it would have been nice to see this trilogy go out with more of a bang. Even so, anyone who is familiar with Turtledove's work and alternate history in general will still find this novel enjoyable.
