As I was saying, Roger's book detailing LBJ's participation in the plot which killed JFK, is not so good as MASTERMIND OF THE ASSASSINATION. Nevertheless, it helps us to have his contribution to the legitimate literature. By 'legitimate', I mean writings which tend to enlighten, not to obscure the truth. Or should I say, THE TRUTH. Or, the TRUTH. / I'm not one who holds with the theory that what happened to John Fitzgerald Kennedy--as well as us--was brought upon him--and us, by himself, and, by us. This is the fallacy of solipcism, and of narcissism. It meanders into the territory of guilt complexes, and self-hatred. I guess the philosophers would call this 'extreme idealism.' One or more of those earlier European Philosophers made this error. It is the opposite, if you will, of 'literalism'. If I go for a walk in a jungle, and a leopard springs from a tree limb overhead, onto my head, and kills me, am I to be said of, that I caused this calamity to happen? because i happened to be in that time and place? What then happens to the system of justice? I've read a version of this in a metaphysical philosopher from the late 20th century. He said, 'if the universe is against you (i.e. hates you), then it's your fault'. This "thinking" allows for conspiracies to go blameless. When a Mafia don sends a hit man to kill you and your family, it's your fault. And whoever did the job is the only one arrested, if ever anyone is arrested./ "glen sample and mark collum in their book THE MEN ON THE SIXTH FLOOR unearthed a may 13, 1984 DALLAS MORNING NEWS article that reports an incredulous clint peoples finding out from a navy intelligence officer about mac wallace's new job. ' i was furious that they would even consider a security clearance for wallace with the background he had', said peoples. 'i asked the intelligence officer how in the world wallace could get the security clearance, and he said, "politics". i asked who could be so strong and powerful in politics that he could get a clearance for a man like this, and he said "the vice president" (lbj)'."
