I agree with many of the other comments-not the best season for this show. I lost track of the characters - who were these people working against Claire and when did they show up (did I sleep thorough part of the last season-it’s possible!) Anyway, Frank was sorely missed, Claire and others tried to continue on, but the end result was less than satisfying. The actual end was really bad.

Thank God it is over. What happened to this show? All credibility is gone and the characters are now like the Mob.

The evilness continues in the sixth and final season of “House of Cards”. Due to the allegations against him, there was no possible way that Kevin Spacey could be part of the show anymore. Which was unfortunate for the continuation of the narrative, and for bringing the show to a logical conclusion. The absence of his character, Frank Underwood, cast a rather large shadow over Season 6. The producers and writers had to be true to the groundwork laid by the previous 65 episodes, and had to concoct an ending that made sense to the story, and they had to do it without the dominant character they had invested in over all that time. Did they succeed? Ah, I don’t know. Spacey’s exit came right before production was to start and they may have been better served to go on hiatus, rather than scramble to do what seemed to be a rushed re-write. Out of necessity, Claire Underwood became the focal point. Sure, Robin Wright as Claire was excellent, but the show sorely missed the Frank/Claire dynamic. And, I do not believe an audience should expect any series finale to tie up all the various storylines in a neat and tidy bow. But, the “House of Cards” finale sure left a lot of loose ends swinging in the breeze. For anyone that has seen the first five seasons of the show, this final season is a must, if only just for closure’s sake.
