This is a good series for those wanting an overview of the rise of Hitler and for secondary level or college history classes. The narrative cuts back and forth between historical footage and a Discovery or History Channel type reconstruction. The actors playing the Nazi party members and Hitler himself are amateurish and wooden. The limited historical footage which is by far the most interesting part of the series, is repetitively cut and re-cut of necessity to show the German society's adulation of Hitler and the political and economic conditions which gave rise to Nazism. Some of the footage of Berlin relies on current stock film which gives an odd disjunction to the narrative. I think that this series would have been improved by eliminating the reconstructions and concentrating on the historical footage and interviews unless its intended audience is those completely unfamiliar with Nazism.
