This was definitely my favorite of all the Green Rider series. The overall feeling of this book was very different than the rest, but I loved it because Karigan really grew as a character and shined in this installment. I also love the fact that finally, FINALLY Karigan has a real love interest. This book was hard to put down, it was fast paced, and incredibly raw.

Book Five of Green Rider

Jun 25, 2015

I was hesitant to read this because it's the last book out and the author has a tendency for a 2 year or longer wait period before the next one comes out. But I really wanted to know what happened, so I did read it. At first I thought I wouldn't like it because Karigan goes ahead in time (not a spoiler, you figure this out right away). It's a kind of steampunk-y, industrial revolution era and there are a lot of depressing things hapening. BUT I actually loved it. It's not set in the Green Rider days but it's still so good! I like how Kristen Britain shows possibilities of what could happen in the future. There are a lot of surprises. I liked all the new characters and Karigan also grows and matures a lot. It's slow in the beginning but gets very cool later on. Now I really can't wait for the next book.

A very different setting from the other Green Rider books, but great read nevertheless.
