Abe Sapien is no Hellboy. The look's there, but not the heart. An interesting story that's visually engrossing (a very cool sea witch, a church dedicated to the ocean, a former leper colony, some really short demon guys, an undead guy, etc.) but it feels like everything just happened around Abe. He might as well have not even been in the story, which is too bad, cause I like him. This one's just to tide you over until you get your paws on the next Hellboy I'm afraid.
