Architect Vance Nolan has crafted a marvel -- shining apartments floating in the peaceful cove of a winding river. Partially occupied, the project is about to make investors rich when a sinkhole opens. Torrential rains flood the cove, leaving a handful of builders, investors, and residents cut off from the world. Vance insists they wait for rescue. Developer Tony Dean wants to strike out into the darkness. And single mom Danielle Clement isn't sure which one is wiser.

Odd....not sure what to say, biblical? but not in the Charlton Heston, big spectacle way, It is a morals story.for sure, Noah/saviour.... as everyman? with all his shortcomings, anxieties, awkwardness, frailties and some he overcomes of course, as with some of those on the journey with him. Like SciFi/SciFan? Otherwordly, but very human visitors?
Christian Fiction, but no reason not to read it. Still not sure I've really given you the right picture. I'll have to think about this further.
Or maybe you should take the chance and read it, you don't have to finish it
