“Amelia” tries to cover several aspects of the aviator’s life but in this endeavor the story spreads itself thin. Nevertheless, Hilary Swank is good in the role of Earhart.

Amelia Earheart is NOT who she seams. For the the more I know about her, the more I loose respect. She was not a good person. She never actually loved George Putnam when she married him, it was just a rouse in order to have him fund her airplanes and for her own personal propaganda and fame. If you want me to post more I will. You will have to let me know. I will say She did not die in 1937 or was missing. This is what we have been trained to believe. How many have actually researched this? Please look up the name Irene Craigmile Bolam. Amelia Earheart died in 1980.

As for the movie, the voice of Hilary Swank became rather annoying and grating. If she did Amelia's voice correctly, Amelia was much more narcissistic than even I could imagine.

Very well done and interesting DVD movie. A pleasure to watch. I would recommend this movie for all to see. No fast forwarding no falling asleep on this one.

An interesting history lesson but was just so-so as far as entertainment.

This should have been a good movie considering the cast. Hillary Swank as Amelia and Richard Gere as her agent and money man. Unfortunately the movie gets into details that aren't particularly interesting. Amelia was a ground breaker, pardon the pun, but this movie never really flies. Too bad, it's a story that could have been done much better.

Rent the documentary DVD instead.
This is a very very poor movie. Such a shame for historical subject. ( Also Richard Gere is miscast )
