Not a very credible story. Skimmed through it just to see how it ended. And the ending was a bust. Joe Pickett novels were much improved. I.E he got better with experience.

started out fairly well, but the tying together of the plt threads at the end was disappointing and strck me as sloppy. I ended up thinking the book was interesting mainly as an illustration of American attitudes to authority, guns etc. Ultimately I found the book distasteful and I will probably not be rading more Box.

Raw, emotional right to the last word.
