Farenga is president of Holt Associates, originally founded by John Holt (1923-1985). Addresses common objections to homeschooling. Promotes the unschooling method of homeschooling—relaxed, effortless, spontaneous, learning that is a natural part of life, not forced. The author includes many letters from parents to him about their experiences homeschooling. He says that learning disabilities don’t exist, and even provides parenting and legal advice.

You don't need a curriculum. Children learn when and what they want to learn. It works. Tests are not necessary. They do not promote learning. Holt also published Growing Without Schooling magazine, and it is archived here: http://www.johnholtgws.com/gws-issue-archive/
