He never takes himself too seriously. The end sort of fizzles out though.
Fabulous read and look at life—taking new chances and adventures and the twists and turns that come with it all.
The good life abroad. If you enjoyed Peter Mayle of Frances Mayes, you'll love this much more rustic tale of life in southern Spain. Stewart and his wife move from England to a dilapidated farm on the wrong side of the river, with no access road, water supply or electricity, and soon realize it was exactly the life they wanted.
A perfect cottage read or for the world traveler who just wants to settle down anywhere but home. It will teach you about agriculture, horticulture, rural Spanish culture, and will do so in a way that is both easy and memorable. This book will forever be in my heart.
