This was an okay read. Loved the premise of a spinster minister's daughter falling for her rakish indentured servant, but never really felt like its potential was realized. The characters were mostly stereotypical and the pacing was off. Some scenes that should have had huge emotional payoff were passed over, and others went too long (mainly sex scenes, which I felt were overdone, considering the main character's background and strong religious beliefs). I wanted so much for this to be better! It was an okay read, but I skimmed the last several chapters just to finish it. And actually, it kind of seemed like the author did, too.
