First Love: An Evening with Eun Ah Roh

Join us for an enchanting evening with Soprano Eun Ah Roh, DMA in a jaw dropping performance you don’t want to miss! Dr. Roh will be highlighting an array of styles, such as Korean pop, American pop, world-famous classics like, Messiah, and opera arias in Italian, German, English, and French. Accompanying Dr. Roh, is pianist Katie Leung, with special appearances by Tenor Luigi Grande and Minji Wu on the flute.

There will be an intermission prior to the performance of opera arias.

This event is free and open to the public, and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dr. Roh made her debut in a fully staged production as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, a role she has gone on to perform with several other companies. Additional performances include portrayals of Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Violetta in La Traviata, Voluptua in La Pizza con Funghi, Veronica in Dr. Miracle, among others. Dr. Roh has worked with New York Lyric Opera, Bethesda Summer Music Festival, Baekryeong Opera, S&A Opera, James Madison Opera, Mason Opera, Catholic University of America Opera, and Duquesne Opera. She performed as soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Handel’s Messiah, and has sung on the stages of Carnegie Hall in New York and Pittsburgh, National Opera Center in New York, Seoul Arts Center, Seoul Young-San Arts Center, Baekryeong Arts Center, and more.

Most recently, Dr. Roh is the grand prize winner of the USA Classical Hobbyists International Music Competition. She also received second prize at Concert International Virtuoso Voice Competition, performing in the Winner’s Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, and won second prize at the 6th Korea Vocal Competition. Additionally, she was the winner of VANATS Voice Competition, alternative winner of Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition, and the winner of Duquesne Concerto Competition, among various other prestigious recognitions.
