FREE TO READ | A Banned Books Week Reading

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Clark County Library

Description

Mark your calendars: The 2022 celebration of Banned Books Week will be September 18-24!

Banned Books Week is an annual event that celebrates the freedom to read and spotlights the current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. For 40 years, the event has brought together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.

Join the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and The Asylum Theatre for FREE TO READ - an engaging evening of diverse performers sharing stories and moments from banned and challenged books and creative works.
