The story of Kiesha Wright is an interesting one. She developed her voice and dance moves by watching old videos of Tina Turner, and from the encouragement and dedication of her mother, she auditioned to become of the Ikettes, which helped her perform in shows such as Legends in Concert and alongside the Grammy-winner singer herself, Tina Turner. She has won awards such as Northern California Entertainer of the Year and the VMA award. However, it does not end there. Her talents far supersede that of a Tina Turner impersonator. She is an organist, keyboardist, and percussionist. She has a music career of her own. She is a model and actor. The performer in Kiesha Wright has led her many places in life, and from spoken words, Ms. Wright was lead down the path of written word. She is now a published children’s book author of the inspiring story, Bambee Boom Boom Courage: Wishes and Dreams.
Join us in an evening of entertainment and awe as Kiesha Wright takes us on her life’s journey from performing as Tina Turner, to herself, and bringing us to her passion today, with a talk of her recent published children’s book.
There will be a book signing in the Art Gallery after the performance where books will be available for purchase.
