Join us for Goodbye Joylight Café, a riveting play that will captivate audiences with its emotional expose of a small Texas town. Jesse Wilson, owner of Joylight Café, has run a successful business for 25 years. During those years, he was a dedicated single father to his son and daughter after his wife abandoned their family unexpectedly. Jesse reveled in the accomplishments of his children, until one fateful day in 1995, he was faced with the tragic death of his teenage son. Years later as Jesse prepares to retire in 2010, his family and friends reflect on pleasant and unpleasant memories in their world. Unveiled secrets and betrayal threaten to destroy Jesse’s belief in the significance of friendship, faith, and fidelity. Co-sponsored by Frances L. Hall.
