External Online Event: Virtual Astronomy Live- Exploring Astronaut Photography & Art

2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Description

Virtual Astronomy Live, presented by The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, explores extraordinary voyages and once in a lifetime experiences that have kindled the creative human expression. Astronauts have attempted to convey what they see and feel when they look down on the home planet. Their sense of wonder and amazement has often been translated by their personal photographs. Other astronauts have returned to Earth inspired to create, while a few others actually created art in space.

Hosted and co-produced by John “Das” Galloway, founder of the Kerbal Space Academy, and moderated by Summer Ash, an astrophysicist, rocket scientist and freelance writer.
