Free Volunteer Tax Assistance with AARP

Description

AARP volunteers provide free basic Federal income tax return preparation with electronic filing as a free service for low-to-no income patrons on Fridays, February 7, 15, 21, 28 & March 20, 27. The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program is offered in cooperation with the IRS, and is the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service. Electronic filing (e-file) is offered at no charge to the taxpayer. Please note that both spouses must be present to sign the required forms to file taxes electronically on a married-filing-jointly tax return.

Important items to bring:

  • Photo ID.
  • Social Security cards for individual,
    spouse, and dependents.
  • Birth dates for individual, spouse,
    and dependents.
  • Wage and earning statements from all
    employers (Forms W-2, W-2G, 1099-R,
    1099-Misc).
  • Interest and dividend statements from
    banks (Form 1099).
  • A copy of last year’s tax return.
  • A blank check for direct deposit.
  • Total paid for childcare and the daycare
    provider’s tax identifying number.
  • Health care information
    (Forms 1095-A, B, or C).
  • Proof of foreign status, if applying
    for an ITIN.
  • Copies of income transcripts from
    the IRS and state, if applicable.

This location is first-come, first-served and will be located in our Multipurpose Room. Line-ups will start after opening at 10:00 a.m. in lobby near the meeting space door.
